The set of laws that guide on how institutions are run is known as a legal system. This comprises of the regulations as well as those involved in ensuring that these rules are observed. Different countries have different legal systems. When setting up these laws, the cultural and religious beliefs of the people are considered. This ensures that people accept the laws set. It also becomes easy to interpret the laws to the citizens. Having a well set legal system brings with it a lot of advantages.
These systems are beneficial because they set standards of behaviors for people. The laws indicate how people need to behave. Management of relationships between individuals is also made clear. The organization therefore gets organized. People also get a basis for making claims. Individuals thus get to coexist peacefully. Social and economic development is achieved for a peaceful nation. The laws ensure that offenders are dealt with appropriately. A good legal system also works well in ensuring that disputes between individuals are handled well. None of the parties concerned feel that they have been denied their rights. If they feel so, they are allowed to seek further justice.
A good legal system makes all stakeholder to comply by set laws. People are prevented from misusing their powers. Such include governments and corporations. The laws ensure that these entities perform for the good of the society. This ensures that people do not suffer due to the actions of those with powers over them.
It also gives a chance for people to question the performance of such entities. They also prevent the society from being manipulated by some individuals. There are normally laws set to control how systems should be managed for efficiency. Existence of a legal system contributes to security. This is due to availability of stakeholders to safeguard the rights of individuals. Judges and the police are examples of these stakeholders. People are protected from those who may harm them. Those allowed to own weapons are also clearly indicated.
The dangerous weapons are thus only left to a few responsible people. There is punishment for those who do not follow the rules. People therefore get to feel safe as they go about their activities. To ensure that orders are followed, the systems of security have a central control.
Having a good legal system also enables a country to comply to rules set by regional associations. Accountable legal systems are necessary to enable countries enter into different regional blocks. This also makes trade between them and other countries safe. There are laws set to control people all over the world. Trade restrictions can result from failure to comply to these laws. It is thus necessary to have legal systems for all countries.
